Plans have been submitted for a new residential community at Alvecote Park in Tamworth, on land west of Robey's Lane. The first phase, being delivered by Persimmon Homes, will provide a mixture of 432 one- to five-bedroom homes as part of a wider 1,270-home development.
The scheme includes new green spaces, play areas and outdoor spaces for residents. Pedestrian and cycle links will connect the development, with a new cycleway running along the eastern boundary of the site to provide sustainable connections for residents and the wider community.
Sustainable drainage features will be incorporated into the development, and new planting and habitats will support biodiversity across the site. New access points will be provided from Tamworth Road and Robey's Lane.
As part of the wider development, more than £24 million will be invested through financial contributions towards local services, including education, healthcare and transport.
We are delighted to have submitted plans for the first phase of development at Alvecote Park, which will deliver much-needed new homes for local people alongside new green spaces and community facilities. The scheme has been carefully designed to integrate with the surrounding area, with a strong focus on creating high-quality, well-connected homes alongside significant investment in the local community. We look forward to progressing these plans and contributing to the creation of a thriving new neighbourhood at Alvecote Park.
