Santa visits, quieter family sessions and textile wreath-making workshops are among the Christmas events announced for Tamworth Castle.
The 2026 programme includes activities in November and December, with advance booking required for the ticketed events.
Christmas textile wreath workshops
Textile wreath-making sessions are listed for Saturday 14 and Saturday 21 November at 1pm. Tickets cost £22 and the two-hour workshops are for people aged over 16.
The castle’s official event information says textile expert Sarah Baxter will lead the sessions, with materials provided and no previous experience needed.
Santa’s Christmas Castle
Family visits to Santa are scheduled for 12, 13, 19 and 20 December at various times. The experience includes activities around the castle before meeting Santa.
Tickets are listed at £12.50 for adults, £17 for children and £6 for children aged up to two. Visitors should check session availability before booking.
Quieter Santa sessions
Quiet Santa visits are listed for Saturday 12 and Saturday 19 December at 10am. These offer smaller groups, reduced noise and a more relaxed pace for families who would prefer a calmer visit.
The listed prices are the same as for the main Santa experience.
Santa Paws for dogs
Dogs and their owners can visit Santa Paws at Holloway Lodge on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December, from 11am to 3.30pm.
Tickets cost £10.50 per dog, with no separate ticket required for accompanying people. The council’s release specifies a maximum of two adults per visit.
Community groups and castle volunteers are helping to prepare festive displays, including Dosthill WI, Lady Meadow Sewing Group and a heritage craft group.
Full details, availability and booking links are on Tamworth Castle’s official Christmas page.
