A Tamworth jewellery business inspired by fantasy books is preparing to celebrate its first birthday on Friday 6 November.

FAE & ME was launched in November 2025 by local founder Angel, who wanted to turn a love of fictional worlds into jewellery that readers could wear in everyday life.

With the anniversary approaching, Angel has shared an account of how the small independent brand has developed over its first year.

A business built around books

In a submission to Local Gazette, Angel said: “I launched FAE & ME in November 2025, inspired by my love of fantasy books and the feeling of wanting to carry a little piece of those fictional worlds into everyday life.”

The founder says the business has shipped jewellery to customers in at least 17 countries and built a social media following of over 10,000. Those figures are the business’s own account of its progress.

Alongside the jewellery, Angel says FAE & ME has started a book club and invited its community to help name new pieces, receiving hundreds of suggestions.

First year milestones

The business has also attended its first in-person pop-up event. Angel says pieces have been worn at at least three weddings, adding another personal connection between the jewellery and its customers.

Describing the response, Angel said: “What started as a small idea has grown into a wonderful community of readers, romantics and jewellery lovers around the world.”

The 6 November anniversary will mark a year since the Tamworth founder launched the business around that shared interest in reading and storytelling.
